What is KCMP?
The Kegel Coaching Master’s Programs are a new series from Kegel designed to help you master your coaching. KCMPs are incredibly hands-on, giving coaches the real-world experiences necessary to enhance scoring through advanced coaching.
The KCMPs are a 5-part series of programs that help coaches immerse themselves in each topic. Coaches can learn and develop a specialty in a specific topic in addition to their existing certifications. The first of its kind intensive learning experience that takes a modern approach to teaching coaching. Training is a combination of classroom and hands-on, focusing on how things happen so you can fix the root cause.

KCMP Program One:
Direction overview
The first of 5 planned programs, Program #1 focuses on the fundamental concept of Direction as it relates to the game of bowling. Topics included in Program #1 - Direction are:
How to identify directional issues by mastering the proper elements
Methods to correct the direction which is one of the major elements of scoring
Strategies for real life application of these methods
Who should attend:
Coaches and players who want to learn the elements that affect direction
Participants must be a minimum of USBC Bronze Level or international equivlaent
Successful completion of the KCMP Direction Test will result in:
Masters diploma in Direction from Kegel

KCMP Program Two
Speed & Release overview
The 2nd program, released a year after Direction, focuses on speed as it relates to bowling and the bowling release. Topics discussed in Program #2 - Speed & Release are:
Learn techniques to create a wider range of ball speeds
Master the art of versatility throughout the entire lane
Understand how to manipulate ball motion to score higher on all lane conditions
Who should attend:
Coaches and players who want to master the elements that affect speed and release
Participants must be a minimum of USBC Bronze Level or international equivalent
It is recommended, but not required, that participants take Program #1 - Direction first
Successful completion of the KCMP Speed & Release test will result in:
Masters diploma in Speed & Release from Kegel

KCMP Program #3:
The Art of Scoring Overview
The 3rd Program, an unprecedented 4-days long, finally came to fruition in May of 2022. Program 3 is about practical application of all the aspects and decision making that goes into how to score in bowling. This program is not only for coaches - players are encouraged to attend this course to see for themselves how to make high-level decisions when competing. Topics covered in Program #3 are:
How to identify all aspects of the modern bowling environment that affect decision making
Thorough evaluation of each element and its impact on different player styles and situations.
Connecting all environmental factors to maximize scoring potential with hours of on-lane practice
Who should attend:
Coaches who want to understand how to teach the elements that pertain to the ‘art of scoring’
Players that want to learn for themselves the pieces that go into the ‘art of scoring’
Coach participants must be a minimum of USBC Bronze Level trained or equivalent
Player participants must carry an average of 180 or better to participate
Successful completion of the KCMP The Art of Scoring test will result in:
Masters diploma in The Art of Scoring
